Join Us
We welcome new members at any time. Whether you are a fluent Gaelic speaker or a complete beginner with an interest in learning the language, or maybe you just enjoy Gaelic music and culture, we will find a place for you. Fluency in Gaelic, the ability to read music and familiarity with single malt whisky is an advantage but certainly not essential!

We are a very sociable Choir, who like to work hard and play harder! Our expectations for success are high (and so are the choirs drinks bills at céilidhs!). So if you're interested in Gaelic and the chance to put those musical talents you always knew you had to some use, with the added challenge of competition, public performances, and a lively social scene, then come and join us!

If you are unsure, why not just come and hear us sing at one of our fothcoming events, or at our weekly practices or come and enjoy a drink with us afterwards for a chat.

Choir Practices
Practices take place most Thursday evenings at 7.30pm – 9.30pm in Tollcross Primary School and we enjoy a few drinks afterwards in Bennets Bar (Tollcross).

Choir Membership
Choir Membership is only £100.00 per year (Concessions £60, available for OAPs, Students or Unemployed). This can be paid by cash, cheque or Standing Order, annually or at the start of each Term. New choir members do not pay membership for the first term.

Liquid Members
Lothian Gaelic Choir also welcome a special classification of membership for people interested in finding out more about the choir. Liquid Members such as the Booze Brothers pictured below, often become full singing members of the choir.
